2005 & 2006 GHS Football Teams

The 2005 squad tallied 11 wins and only 2 defeats and captured the first sectional football championship in school history. Geneva defeated Victor in the Sectional Championship for the second time that season by a score of 41-6. They won their regional title before finishing as the New York State Runner-up. The 2005 squad registered 499 total points over the course of the season. In 2006 the Panthers football team was determined to complete what they started the year before. Once again Geneva finished with an 11-2 record, winning their second straight Section Five title with a 33-14 win over Hornell. They captured the New York State Championship with an impressive 33-7 victory over Albany Academy. The 2006 team scored 472 total points, bringing the two year total to 971 points or 37 points per game.
