A natural at any of the sports he played, Tiny was the captain of the Geneva High basketball team for two years. He helped lead the Panthers to the Section V Class A Championship in 1934. It was the first sectional title for Geneva High.
After graduating from Geneva he went on to Ohio Wesleyan where he had three outstanding years and won a number honors. He also served as team captain for two years. H played semi-pro basketball for Michael’s Koolmotors and in the service. Tiny was a pilot in the Air Corp during World War II and carried the rank of captain. He was declared “Missing in Action” in 1944.
