Geneva HS Class of 2006

Tyrone Collins was a rare athlete who excelled at four varsity sports over his high school career. He played 6 different positions on the baseball diamond, achieved 1st Team All-League honors in the 200M and 400M on the track, and twice was awarded All-League honors on the basketball court while helping to lead his team to 3 league championships. While all of this sounds mighty impressive, Tyrone was even more impressive on the football field. As a 3 year starter, Tyrone was a 1st Team All-League selection twice and was a 2nd Team All-Greater Rochester selection and 2nd Team All-State selection. In 2005, Tyrone's senior season, Geneva High School won their first sectional championship and finished as the New York State Runner-Up.

Following high school, Tyrone played Division 1 football at Wagner College. He signed with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League right out of college. He also played professionally for the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks, the Pittsburgh Power, and the Cleveland Gladiators. Currently, Tyrone serves as the Wide Receivers coach at Hobart College.
