A highly respected official, Tony has worked high school and college basketball, football, and lacrosse games for over thirty years. A 1947 graduate of Geneva High, Tony earned twelve varsity letters including four in basketball where he played guard on Coach Loman’s “Whiz Kids” which were three-time league champions and Section V finalists. As captain of the football team his senior year, he was awarded the Rogers Cup Trophy of Merit and was chosen to travel to Niles, Ohio to represent Geneva High for Coach Loman’s homecoming. He was also a member of the 1946 NYS Kiwanis baseball state championship team.

Tony has worked major NCAA Division I games and tournaments including the NCAA Division I regional semi-finals twice. He has also officiated in the regional finals of Division II, III, and Junior College levels. Tony has developed friendships and mutual respect with great coaches such as Bob Knight, Dick Vitale, Jim Valvano, Rollie Massimino, and Jim Boeheim.
