Meghan Genovese capped off a stellar lacrosse career at William Smith College by being named a Brine/IWLCA 1st Team All-American in her senior year. Meghan was also named a US Lacrosse 1st Team All-American, an ECAC Upstate All-Star, and was named to the All-Liberty League 1st Team. She played on teams that won two state championships, participated in one NCAA Final, two Regional NCAA Championships, and were consistently ranked in the top six in the nation. A 1997 graduate of Geneva High she lettered in lacrosse, basketball, and soccer in high school. She was a two-time team MVP in both lacrosse and basketball and was named 1st-team all-league in lacrosse her senior year.

Meghan also excelled in the classroom, graduating cum laude with a double major of Public Policy and English from William Smith in 2001 and was named to the IWLCA, the Liberty League and the Verizon All-Academic teams. She received the Oyler Award in 2001, which is an award given to the woman displaying outstanding athletic abilities, excellent academic record, and exceptional leadership skills.
