Kenneth graduated from Geneva High in 1927. The Geneva High Lacrosse Team went undefeated during the four years he played. He was awarded a silver cup his senior year for his scholarship, gentlemanly conduct sportsmanship, and lax ability. He also played football and basketball at Geneva.

Ken had a distinguished collegiate career while playing lacrosse at Colgate. In his sophomore year, he was named first All American at midfield while leading the Red Raiders to victories over Cornell, Hobart, and Syracuse. His performance led the team to a bronze medal awarded by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association He was named Honorable Mention All-American as a junior and served as a team captain his senior year. He also played football and basketball. After graduating from Colgate in 1931 with a degree in Economics, he went to work for the Market Basket food chain where he reached the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Ken was inducted into the Colgate University Hall of Fame in 1997.
