An all-league gridiron selection four times, Louie capped his senior season by being named all-state and All-Greater Rochester. A quarterback and safety, helped lead the Saints to the Finger Lakes West league title that year. A three-time all-league performer on the basketball court, Louie still holds the school career assist record. The point guard captained the Saints the final two season and helped lead DeSales to the sectional semi-finals where they lost a close game to a Roosevelt Bouie led Kendall team.
Louie also helped lead DeSales to the sectional championship in baseball. This was the first time a Catholic school won a sectional championship in Section V. Louie batted .304 from the leadoff position and was named all-league as a junior and senior.
