Sherry established Geneva as one of the premiere cheerleading programs in Section V. During her 18 year coaching career she led the Panthers to eight Section V Championships and nine Finger Lakes East league titles. She was named Section V Coach of the Year five times. Her teams won several “Fall Tournaments” sponsored by the Section V Cheerleading Committee which were the early equivalent of the Fall Sectional Tournament that is now in existence. Sherry coached both the JV and Varsity teams up until 1996 and her teams won numerous competitions throughout the years.
Sherry’s 2000 team finished 2nd in the National Cheerleading Association National Championship in Anaheim, California competing against 42 teams from around the country. Geneva qualified for 4 NCA National tournaments under Wild. Twelve of her players were NCA All-American Cheerleaders. Sherry graduated from Nazareth College and is the Chairperson of the Business Education Department at Geneva High.
